Liberia, Africa is a war-torn country overrun by rebels ruled by a corrupt government. For many years the gospel of Jesus has been repressed. I recently had the opportunity to travel with an organization, Equip2Serve. We arrived in the capital city of Monrovia to teach pastors from all over the country how to rightly divide the Word of God. I was blown away by their desperation for the truth and their desire to know Him and make Him known.

These men traveled hundreds of miles at great expense to themselves to be taught what it means to have a personal relationship with Jesus and how to teach others to do likewise. However, I ended up learning so much from them. They taught me how to be humble and thirst for righteousness. They are smart and eager. They work hard for all they have and desire to see the name of Jesus lifted up. I was truly inspired by their faithful unwavering belief. They have so little and yet so much.

On our last night of the week-long conference, I asked if they would like to share some of their stories with my podcast audience.  So we huddled around a table, using my voice memo app on my iPhone and we talked together.  I hope you are encouraged by their testimony.
