On episode 55 of The Route to Networking podcast, our Director James Dean was joined by Stephen Paynter.

Stephen has been in the industry for 26 years, originally starting out as a Customer Support Technician at MARi. Since then, he has built his way up into more senior roles and is now in a high-up position as an Automation Engineer at Network Bright.

Stephen talks about the importance of embracing change within the Networking industry, highlighting that it is important to evolve with the technology, in order to not get left behind.

He talks to us about the future of traditional Networking Engineers and how the skills required for this role will take a massive shift.
