The wonderland murders took place in a townhome in Laurel Canyon, CA. On July 1, 1981 four people were murdered in the drug house of a known gang, The Wonderland Gang. It’s thought that five people were initially targeted, but only 4 were unfortunate enough to be home at the time of the slaying. Ron Launius, Billy DeVerell, Joy Miller, and Barbara Richardson all died of blunt force trauma in a murder that LAPD officers would later say was bloodier than the Tate-LaBianca murders. Although 3 people were accused, including famous porn star John Holmes, technically these murders are still unsolved today.
