The topic of veiling comes up a lot in Father Torres’ and Solanyi’s ministry to young adults. Historically, veiling in the Catholic Church has been a sign of reverence and an acknowledgement of the sacred. Our discussion will examine the history and theology behind why women always wore veils prior to Vatican II, and why there seems to be a renewed interest in the practice with younger Catholic women. They will even tackle questions about whether there is or isn’t meaning behind veil colors and fashions.
