This week I spoke with Mary Lovell. Mary works for the Rainforest Action Network, and is currently working to stop the expansion of the Trans-Mountain Pipeline extension which would run along side another, already existing and leaking pipeline, along the coast line of the Salish Sea. In this episode, Mary talks about all of what it takes to stop a pipeline, but why ending new pipeline construction has such a massive ecological impact on the entire world, as well the potential risks and dangers that it poses to the southern resident orcas and wild chinook salmon.
