In our podcast miniseries “Made by Microbes” we explore new ways of microbial production.   Engaging microbes in production processes has been practiced for thousands of years to make beer, wine, cheese, yogurt or bread. The range of microbial products is widening with advances in life sciences that enable microbes to produce substances that are naturally produced by animals or plants.   New ways of microbial production hold the potential to revolutionize the pharmaceutical and agro-food sector, and to achieve circularity, where the output of one process works as the input for another.
