At the end of the day, living life fully comes down to experiences. The question we ought to be asking ourselves is, "What experiences do I want to have?" We are the creators of our future, but we can't create what we don't know. The best way to predict your future is to create it. You do that through deciding what experiences you want to have, because the end product of an experience is an emotion, and ALL of us set goals for emotional outputs. So stop setting goals that are simply a means to an end, and just start setting END GOALS.
