This week Lily is joined by Dian-Jen Lin (DJ) ~ the co-founder of Post Carbon Lab. This episode explores the ecological role of fashion by discussing regenerative textile practices in comparison to reductionist textiles practices. Post Carbon Lab could be described as science meets fashion to save the world. PCL is a research design studio working on projects such as microbial pigment dyeing and photosynthesis textile coating. DJ will explain all the science behind these processes as well as tell us her story that lead her toward regenerative practices. One which started from her experience of seeing firsthand the negative human and environmental impacts of the fashion industry.
