In this episode we sit down with Melissa Hay of Homemade by the Hays. She wears many hats such as candle maker, yoga teacher, mother, wife as well as the organizer of the local small business pop-ups we’ve seen in the last couple years. We discuss the burst of creativity from local budding entrepreneurs since the pandemic despite the collective feelings of anxiety and stress many of us have all experienced since 2020.
Melissa also shares with us her family’s long established history within San Pedro, including stories of her grandparents running Cabrillo Beach Cafe for over forty years and her mother becoming one of the first female lifeguards at Cabrillo Beach.
