E85 In today's episode, I discuss the importance of teaching compassion and empathy in the classroom. While we hope students learn kindness through our modeling of it, this is not enough. We have to be conscious and purposeful in exposing our students to different perspectives, cultures, and beliefs. We must demystify the "other" and make respect for all humans at the center of everything we do. Listen to find out some ways we can do this.
