Coming off of a night of severe thunderstorms and tornado warnings, Monday night proved to be the first severe weather event of the season on Delmarva this year. Several areas experienced wind damage with the storms, including a few areas the National Weather Service will be surveying to determine if a tornado touched down. Chief Meteorologist Rich Wirdzek and Meteorologist Jake Grant look at the event and discuss the mitigating factors that kept severe weather at bay earlier in the day and why the second round of storms ended up being the most severe.
