Zwischen Dickicht und Gehölz, wo satte Nebelschwaden undurchdringlich in Spiralen wabern, wo Flederfliegen um phantasmagorische Vexierbilder des menschlichen Verderbens schwirren, wo heisere Stimmen in Agonie von Pest und Fäulnis klagen – kurzum, wo die Kacke dampft – dort haben wir sie ausgegraben und in unsere Keller gezerrt: unsere einzigartigen Gäste für diese neue Folge Earbvds, die altgedienten, niemals müden, grundstabilen und gutfundierten Moritz und Patrick der unaufhaltsamen Blackened Sludge-Dampfwalze SHIT HEXIS aus Saarbrücken.

Wie immer versumpfen wir zunächst genüßlich in den unglaublichen Tiefen der Bandgeschichte unseres gastierenden Duos, bevor wir uns einer Reihe neulicher Releases widmen und diese feinst säuberlich auf ihren jeweiligen Gehalt prüfen. Dieses Mal laben wir uns an diesen äußerst bekömmlichen neuen Projekten: Chat Pile – Who Loves the Sun (00:43:45), Dreamwell – Hymns for the Denial of God (00:59:09), Beyond Seventh Dimension - Tähtien ikuinen suru (01:07:24), Nott – As All Is Undone (01:28:39), sowie Sleep – Hempishperes (01:40:49).

Auch in dieser Folge darf natürlich unser "lost & found"-Teil nicht fehlen. Dieses Mal suchen wir gemeinsam nach dem "most violent album" der (jüngeren) Metalhistorie. Zwei junge Bvds, die in der Hitze des Summer Breeze Open Airs 2026 schwitzten, und einer, der schon vom Zuhören eine Staublunge bekommt - und sie nun interviewen darf. Sucht euch ein trockenes, kuscheliges Plätzchen, vergesst den herbstlichen Regen, und erinnert euch gemeinsam mit uns an sommerliche Brisen und ihre metallischen Klänge. Oder so.

Hört rein, wie unsere zertifizierte Festival-Hopperin Jil und unsere Ehren-Earbvd Ronja ihre zahlreichen Highlights des diesjährigen Summer Breeze-Besuchs rekapitulieren: von Grabenschlampen und Sprühnebeldingsies, über dämliche Macker in FLINTA-Pits, bis hin zu nächtlichen Zeltplatz-Schnitzeljagden und kilometerfressenden Autoschlüsselsuchen zwischen dem heimischen Bliesgau und fremden Bettlaken. Reichlich Zündstoff für eine weitere Ausgabe unseres kurz-und-knackig Formats, Extrabvds!

Knarzend öffnet sich das Friedhofstor. Nebelschwaden umsäumen welkende Grabesblumen und Gestein, älter gar als das Gebein darunter. Schatten tanzen im Mondeslicht, derschrille Schrei einer nachtschwarzen Krähe weist den Weg zu einem Gebilde aus brüchigem Marmor – ein Mausoleum. Die Pforte zur verwunschenen Krypta, sie steht offen. Zwei Gestalten, in Kutten gehüllt, finstere Leere dort, wo man Gesichter wähnen wollte – sie treten hervor und laden ein, den Weg ins Innere zu beschreiten. Die Stufen, tief hinab, nebst Würmern, Maden und Getier, immer tiefer, dorthin, wo aus düsteren Kammern altvergessene Schmerzensschreie locken … EARBVDS … FROM THE CRYPT!

In diesem brandneuen Format der Earbvds laden Tobi und Aaron (@Phosphorus) ein, gemeinsam durch die Grimoires des metallischen Obskuritätenkabinett zu stöbern, und so manch unheilige Entdeckung zu feiern. In dieser ersten Folge beginnen wir unsere unheilige Messe mit einer Auswahl der abgründigsten Highlights des Jahres 2026: Gorrch –Stillamentum (00:05:36), Crouch – Breaking the Catatonic State (00:19:04), Diva Karr – Call Me Nothing (00:35:00), the Absence, sowie Portrayal of Guilt - … Beginning of the End (00:45:54).

Außerdem widmen wir uns in dieser wie in jeder kommenden FROM THE CRYPT-Folge einem aktuell relevanten Thema; heute: Kein Fußbreit dem KI-smus (01:01:20). Dazu besprechen wir in einem Interview mit unserem Experten Gast Sandro (@ryu.dysmorphia) unsere Sorgen sowie die akuten Herausforderungen in unserer Szenearbeit hinsichtlich der wachsenden Präsenz von KI-generierten Inhalten.

Zuletzt drehen Aaron und ich am Rad und spinnen den eigens entworfenen Random-Subgenre-Generator (RSG), um in den Tiefen des weltweiten Untergrundes nach wahnwitzigen Klängen zu suchen, die unsere Nerdherzen höherschlagen lassen. Dieses Mal exhumieren und vergenusswurzeln wir die vergrabenen Köstlichkeiten des japanischen Avantgarde Metalcores, Dimlim – Chedoara (01:41:06), wie auch des schweizerischen Oldschool-Hardcores, Lifecrusher – In Death, We All Rot the Same (01:51:00).

An undertaker, a roller coaster enthusiast, and five nerds walk into a bar, but oh my, there’s an electric elephant in the room. Sounds like a joke? Well, some of this was funny. Other things, however, well, you gotta listen for yourselves.

What started out as an innocuous promise given more than four years ago now finally came back to haunt one particular bvd; namely, that he shall be forced into a conversation about the latest offering and general significance of that notorious, most polarizing bunch of callboys. Said conversation (and other sonic disasters) notwithstanding, we were most fortunate and grateful to finally receive the privilege of our interlocutors’ company: the well-versed, minutely media-trained, and perfectly pitched Phil and Hendrik from your bvds’ very own metalcore malefactors, NEVERLAND.

So, fasten your seatbelts and make yourselves comfortable for a verifiable thrill-ride across a record-breaking total of eleven albums!

After some deadpan digging in our guests’ past and present musical laurels, we discuss another eclectic selection of fresh tunes, including the recent releases by Protest the Hero – Within (00:32:24), Electric Callboy – Tanzneid (00:46:01), Allt – Ataraxia  (01:15:16), Loathe – A Stranger to You (01:29:04), Motionless in White – Decades (01:40:29), as well as Show Me the Body – Alone Together (01:51:53).
