This coming Saturday, at the gardens of Dunmanway Community Hospital, there will be a ceremony of remembrance in relation to the 14 famine orphan girls who departed Dunmanway under the Earl Grey Scheme of Assisted Passage to Australia in 1848/49/50.

A monument will be unveiled and this has been made possible by Heather Norwood - who joined Mairead for a chat
