Often the story of natural disasters and their aftermath lump everyone's experience into one narrative but what about communities of color who survived the 1906 earthquake, what about their children, their education?

In this episode, I share my love for the Newton J. Tharp School in San Francisco. Built in 1910 it survived a turbulent history only to be left frozen in time by an attempt to save it.
