I really loved making the podcast and I plan on coming back with another season later in the year!

Hey friends, thanks so much for tuning in to the first season of the Earth's Edge podcast. I've had an absolute blast chatting with the awesome people I've been lucky enough to meet and share a love for the outdoors with.
This is also a very special announcement to let you guys know that we are now a certified B Corporation, which is something we've been working on for a while here at Earth's Edge. What's a B Corporation you ask? Don't worry, I'll explain over the coming weeks.
We'll be back next week with a full-length interview and Episode 1 of Season 2, where I talk to Earth's Edge Medical Director and my dad, George McManus!

This week I chat to Stephen O’Donoghue who who was part of my team on an expedition to Machu Picchu and Choquequirao in 2019. I found Stephen a really easy guy to get along with when travelling and we even developed a bit of a bromance on our trip together. I asked him to come on the podcast as I find his story truly inspiring and motivating. Stephen got into trekking when him and his mate decided they wanted to do something different for their 40th birthdays and climbed Kilimanjaro back in 2006. I can relate to that as I would much rather go climb a big mountain then have another party and another hangover to celebrate my 40th in 2 years time. After summiting Kilimanjaro, Stephen caught the hiking bug and has gone on an expedition every year since then. We discuss his high and low points of all his trips and he shares his top tips for anyone thinking of getting into hiking. He also tells me about his best mate, Alphie, and what's so special about hiking in the Dublin and Wicklow mountains together.
