When someone makes a suggestion and we say, "Easier said than done," what we are really doing is allowing our Inner Critic to use its negative self-talk to discourage us from making changes that might improve our lives. It is a device to weaken, not strengthen, our resolve. Best that we get that phrase our of our vocabulary, and when someone suggests something that will require a lot of time and effort, instead of saying "Easier said than done," we say, "Let's get started."
