#20: East Wenatchee native Nate Lewis keeps grounded in the unreal world of film and television

    My guest this week is Nate Lewis, who grew up on an orchard in East Wenatchee and who has carved out an impressed career in film and television working on projects like The Shack, Person of Interest and War for the Planet of the Apes. The latest Planet of the Apes movie will be released in July. The lessons Lewis learned growing up the valley have propelled him to success in the film world. But home is still here in the valley. His values, work ethic, family and friends keep him grounded. We talked about his love of fishing and hunting, his friendships and working relationships with actors Steve Zahn and Jim Caviezel, and a new project he’s working on in Alaska, the story of the Alaskan Scouts, a group of outdoorsmen recruited to fight the Japanese in the Aleutians during World War II. Lewis told me he's now at a point in his career where doing projects that have meaning and significance are becoming a higher personal priority. The Wenatchee Valley is still home to Lewis and he remains close to his childhood friends.
