Hope is the reason we celebrate Easter. The empty tomb of Jesus reminds us that hope exists, even in the darkest hours of our lives. When the things we have put our trust in—our jobs, our health, our stuff, our economy, our government—grind to a halt, Christ remains and leads us to hope. Hope that there is light in the darkness, and purpose in suffering. Hope that there is more to this life than just this life.
