How do you prove you have authority? If you are a mom & your child challenges your authority, you mights say, “Because I said so.”  If you are a boss & you have a lazy employee, you might flex your work place authority by saying, “Do your job, or you’re fired.” In any given group, authority is often given to the person with the best leadership capabilities, or the best pedigree, or the best physical ability, or the best intelligence, or best work-ethic. But being the best of the best won’t give anyone the authority to do what Jesus said he would do. How do you promise and prove you have the authority to beat death?
