The people were looking for the Messiah, but not the kind Jesus was. Maybe that's why they welcomed him with praise and palm branches one day then were shouting, "Crucify him!" just five days later. He was so much more than they wanted; he was exactly what they needed. He still is for us today! Probably more than you're currently imagining.
