Tune in lead Pastor Troy took time this Easter Sunday to preach primarily from the book of Corinthians. He used the words written by Paul to remind us of what eternity with God truly looks like. What does the resurrection mean for each one of us? What does it entail for me to put my faith and trust in Jesus Christ and follow in His footsteps to be resurrected to heaven?
The good news of the gospel promises us a resurrection of our earthly bodies to one day be with Christ Jesus in heaven. However, we must first make the choice to follow and believe in Him. If we choose otherwise, there are eternal consequences and separation from God forever in Hades ("hell").
This Sunday, we are reminded of the beauty of what heaven will be like and that it is only through Jesus’ death on the cross that we, too, are able to be resurrected—but only if we truly believe and call upon the name of Jesus as our Lord and Savior.
