Bin Zhu immigrated to Canada in 2006 with 6 years of IT experience in China. He delivered pizzas first and found his first Java programmer job in Montreal in 2007. After one and a half years, he got laid off before Christmas after he tried to negotiate a salary raise.  Frustrated with unexpected layoff, he partnered with a friend to buy a small grocery store only sold it with a huge loss after 6 months. This setback made him reignite his career ambition. He found a job with 30K salary in a small company. After six months he jumped to another company with 65K salary. Then he joined a big company called MindGeek. At MindGeek he transformed from a Java developer into a senior manager after taking a role of designing and implementing their new database platform. Seeing a potential long time to a higher position in a big corporation, he joined an AI company called FaimData as CTO and co-founder. Here he developed some interests of being an entrepreneur. With that dream in mind he founded his own company called Stratos recently trying to create a de-centralized infrastructure platform using blockchain technology.
