EatKS sits down via skype across the big pond to catch up with the Toronto punk rock troubadour Cactus Vella. Cactus has been around the music scene in Toronto in many bands, collaborated with many artists, is the brainchild to Southern Ontario 2013 (a punk band compilation) and another of artists covering Bruce Springsteen in the folk punk compilation Thunder Road. It's been a few months since the last show... To celebrate the end of a 7 year on and off run of
Everything and the Kitchen Sink podcast: Davian Dent , another serious music junkie shares his
love of music with you. Many of us have forgotten the love of sharing music with each other.
The world is big and the internet will overwhelm and suck you up.
I am thankful for all the real friendships I have made over the years doing this. I am thankful that
I had inspired so many little podcasters in Canada to get their SOCAN License and navigate
resound licences to help bridge that gap from becoming less "pirate radio" and more about
supporting the artists.
I am thankful I inspired others to go full DIY and code their own podcast for iTunes rather than
take the easier way out and use another service put up a podcast.

The second show of 2018, and for the loyal, and longtime listeners of Everything and the Kitchen Sink you will be happy to know that this is the regular mayhem and nonsense of the show that you have grown to like, maybe even love. As always, every show is different.  I could do all your favourite songs from back in the day, but you could easily slap on your own records and do the same thing without my annoying voice interrupting or pronouncing shit wrong whilst you enjoy your exquisite  tunes.   I still can't believe that I am still trying to do shows after 7 years. Thank you for being supportive and patient through my much needed breaks from this.
