Jesus is talking plainly to the disciples but they are failing to understand his meaning. As a matter of fact, Luke tells us three times about the extend of their obtuseness. But is this based on their lack of understanding or on God's will to keep certain details from them at this time? The blind beggar that follows may give us some clues.
