The author asks if there is something in life to which we can apply ourselves that will lead to ultimate fulfillment? Out of all the things he tries, including chasing wisdom, pleasure, indulging in wine, sensuousness, workaholism, materialism and more, in the end he is still unfulfilled. He can only again cry, "Incomprehensible!"
