In the last Energy Boost episode number 22 I discussed the “Superfood” maca which has been used for centuries in traditional cultures as an aphrodisiac, improving fertility and over all wellbeing and sure enough science seems to support such claims as well as its ability to be beneficial for menopausal women and for prostate health in men. Check out the episode here.
In this episode of TheEdTalks I discuss another South American so called superfood, the camu camu berry. The berry is definitely loaded with a varied range of beneficial nutrients although most claims made about the benefits associated with this fruit focus around repeated claims that it is the highest recorded natural source of Vitamin C known of any food on the planet and this was why I started to supplement with camu camu as it was a real food source of concentrated Vitamin C. However, this statement is no longer true, with an Aussie fruit claiming the top spot, which I’ll discuss in the next EB episode. Listen to this episode to learn why you should consider getting a camu camu pick me up.
