In this episode of TheEdTalks I’m going to discuss the green succulent plant Aloe vera that’s been used for centuries for its supposedly health, beauty, medicinal and skin care properties. I have long used the gel of Aloe vera for burns but it was not until I was given a tea in Peru that included the fresh inner gel that I realised you could also ingest it. I was also not aware of the dangers surrounding the use of Aloe vera.
