Feeling energized takes a complete holistic approach. Getting the best nutrition into our bodies is definitely key, however if stress is overwhelming us all the time which is pretty common for many people, especially parents, the associated release of hormones will essentially suppress our ability to absorb all the healing and energizing nutrients from foods that we consume.
So exploring non-nutrition related things that play a role in how we function is very very important although personally I find it can be hard to crack my shell sometimes to open up and start to dive in deep to untangle or let go of the plethora of thoughts and emotions stored inside me. A way to make this process easier I’ve found, can be by using tools like the “cube personality test” developed by a couple of Japanese psychologists called Tadahiko Nagao and Isamu Saito which I run through in this episode. These fun questions are not to be taken seriously and can be interpreted in different ways, but they get you thinking about your deeper self a little more which is key to feeling more energized.
