I explore the ruin beneath on hawkrest island and after fighting some skeletons and solving a puzzle I get a permanent stat boost, which is very nice. I also find an item which I use later that somehow restores Ebbmark's fishing industry. 

I then drive a criminal out of Ebbmark.
