Liberty is one of the key tenets in the foundation of our republic.  Our instinct is to guard and protect it with all we have. 

With the recent announcement that New York and New Jersey are mandating isolation for individuals deemed high risk to Ebola exposure, the topic of a government-ordered quarantine has been the subject of much debate.  Many people fear these orders could be used against political enemies.

In this report, we will take a closer look at why the medical quarantine may actually be the only way to prevent so much of what we fear.
