Exodus 33:15-18)“…a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. 24 God is spirit, and His worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.” John 4:23-244 Imperatives in Approaching God: Imperative 1 (vs. 1): Guard your steps “Do not come any closer,” God said. “Take off your sandals, for the place where you are standing is holy ground.” Exodus 3:5The offering of a fool: to bring an unacceptable gift to God“But you ask, ‘How have we shown contempt for your name?’7 “By offering defiled food on my altar. “But you ask, ‘How have we defiled you?’“By saying that the LORD’s table is contemptible. 8 When you offer blind animals for sacrifice, is that not wrong? When you sacrifice lame or diseased animals, is that not wrong? Try offering them to your governor! Would he be pleased with you? Would he accept you?” says the LORD Almighty.
