1. Have you ever had a moment where you asked, “What’s the point to all of this”? Explain. If you could ask God, one question about life, what would it be?2. Read Ecclesiastes 2:1-3. What types of things was the teacher testing in verse 1-3? What kind of things do people pursue today for pleasure, and how do they compare to what the teacher was pursuing?3. Read Ecclesiastes 1:4-11. Name everything that the teacher said that he undertook and possessed. How do people who don’t believe in God try to fill the “God shaped hole” in their hearts? How would you explain to them that this is meaningless?4. Read Ecclesiastes 2:12-16. What does the teacher say about the fate of the wise and the foolish? How would you explain this to someone? Then, how would you explain salvation to the same person?5. Read Ecclesiastes 2:24-26. What does the teacher conclude in these verses? What will ultimately help you find satisfaction in your job? What practical steps can you take this week to achieve that satisfaction? How can this chapter help you council someone who feels disillusioned by worldly success? P.U.S.H.
