Seriously Strange

Echoes Across Time: The Dodleston Messages Examined 84-86

Listen Later

In December 1984, high-school teacher Ken Webster, his friend Nic, and girlfriend Debbie uncovered a mysterious message on a borrowed BBC Microcomputer in their Dodleston village home. Thinking it was a prank, they replied, sparking a 16-month exchange of nearly 400 messages. As the dialogue unfolded, they grew convinced the messages were real—sent by someone living in their very house, but in the 1540s! This paranormal tale deepens with a second communicator, claiming to be from the year 2109 creating a historical mystery.
