Jesus’ care for His mother is not sentimental or accidental. It is obedience. Even in death, Jesus fulfills the Law perfectly. Psalm 128 celebrates the blessing of walking in the ways of the Lord, while the Fourth Commandment calls for honor and care within family life. In this midweek service, we reflect on how Christ’s obedience is part of our salvation. Our hope does not rest on our ability to obey, but on Jesus’ faithful love and perfect obedience given for us.
