Ulrich Schnauss is the 20th of 30 Icons for 30 Years of Echoes. We’ve been enthralled by his music since his second album, A Strangely Isolated Place. When his first album was issued in America after that release, we made it a CD of the Month. We get immersed in the world of Ulrich Schnauss with a meditation on his sound and inspiration as he progressed from an electronic shoegaze artist to a member of Tangerine Dream.  We’ll hear him talk about music as an escape into utopia.
