Today on the podcast, we have a Luxurious Hair Battle between Skunk and our guest Chris Farrell.  Chris is a maker of sharp shabby things (blade smith) and was featured on the TV show “Forged in Fire” where he won his episode in season 1.  In addition to Chris’ talents, he is also known around the Austin music scene as a talented drummer.  His work can be heard with groups such as A Good Rogering, Quartershackle, and Jeremiah Houston.  

Currently, Chris is the owner/operator of Fearghal Blades (est. 2011). He was born in Wichita Falls, Texas and raised in Staten Island, New York. Chris’ interest in blade-smithing was fostered in his youth through time spent at Renaissance faires, the SCA (Society for Creative Anachronism – an international organization dedicated to researching and re-creating the arts and skills of pre-17th-century Europe – Wikipedia),  as well as an avid passion for martial arts.
