The Desmond & Leah Tutu Legacy Foundation is this week hosting a dialogue entitled ‘Ecological apartheid: good food for all’. The idea is to explore how the long-term effects of South Africa’s apartheid policies continue to scar the land and its people. This comes especially after last week’s looting that took place at malls in Gauteng and KwaZulu-Natal which some experts say reflected the poverty that many South Africans are facing.
