What does allyship look like from a community perspective?

In today’s episode we have a special guest, Daniel Sims, a justice advocate and consultant who helps organizations operate from a mindful approach. The conversation touches on economic equity and justice, indigenous populations and ways to educate and prepare yourself as a change agent. We also discuss the importance of being an ally to others and what it means for organizations to be an ally to the community. Additionally, we explore the One World approach as opposed to a First or Second World approach to Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (JEDI) and how Daniel addresses inequities within the workplace.

Key Takeaways:

  • Create equitable systems through data
  • Take action for equity
  • Focus on economic equity
  • DEI initiatives increase productivity
