Through his travels to Germany, Dr. Ward learned about an innovative way they are using solar that is cheaper, portable, and also reliable. However, the same product in the U.S. faces barriers to market entry, including in his home state with even tighter restrictions preventing the adoption of so-called “balcony solar.” Dr. Ward has been working to change that by introducing a bill to amend state law, which would allow balcony solar.
