La banda alemana RPWL comenzó como una banda tributo a Pink Floyd en 1997. A partir del año 2000 lanzó su primer disco y se convirtió en una de las bandas referentes del genero en esa decada.

Sin embargo, nunca dejó su pasado floydiano y en varias ocasiones tocó e interpretó diferentes temas.

Hoy escucharemos Welcome to the machine, have a cigar, wish you were here, us and them y shine on (en vivo en el 2009). Cimbaline, Hold in the sky (RPWL) y la interpretación reciente de la obra "the man and the journey" del disco inedito de Pink Floyd de 1969 tocado por RPWL el 29 de octubre de 2016.
