Local Government expert Amon Kotei has said that the explanation by the EC for not using indelible ink to mark voters in the just ended District-Level Elections does not sound well and best explains why most of the polls were delayed.
At a press conference, the Electoral Commission (EC) explained that the Biometric Verification Devices (BVDs) already can expose anyone who tries to vote twice, once their faces and fingerprints are captured and therefore there is no need to use the indelible ink again.
