Friend and colleague, Dr. Kyle Scherr, helps me detail the Eddie Joe Lloyd case from 1984. Lloyd was convicted of first-degree murder and rape of Detroit teenager, Michelle Jackson, but was exonerated of the crime after DNA cleared him of the crimes. Kyle joins me to discuss Lloyd’s coerced false confession and inadequate defense as causes that led to his conviction. Join us in the outrage of these injustices and awareness of these problems.
