There can be no disputing that Eddie Murphy is insanely talented.  From his characters and impressions to his beautiful singing voice and filthy vocabulary, Eddie Murphy was THE man in the 1980’s. But how does his standup comedy play in 2021?  Is it more offensive than it is funny when viewed through the modern lens?  Does it deserve a pass, or does he owe a mea culpa to certain groups?  Most importantly, is it still as funny now as we thought it was in the ‘80s?!
