In this episode, Eddie and I will be joined by our daughters Jasmine, Jordan, and Kayla to celebrate Eddie’s 40th birthday. We’ll talk about Jasmine’s love for ASMR and how she wants to start a YouTube channel around it, and dive into the little things that Eddie does that makes him seem older than he really is, like using words that people don’t use anymore and so much more. We will have a fun and emotional conversation where everyone will talk about how they feel about Eddie, their opinions of him, and just how good of a father and husband he is.
We’re also going to talk a lot about perspective and how it determines where someone ends up in life. A great example has been my shift in perspective about money. Having grown up in a family that didn’t have much, I’ve always thought that it would be fair to distribute all the money in the world equally amongst the entire global population to give everyone a fair chance at making it big in life, but over time I have realized that even if that was to happen, all the money would still end up with the rich because they know how to make it. That has really shifted my perspective on money and now I've learned how to make it, respect it, and give it. I also value teaching the girls about the same, so they can always be empowered.
Eddie will talk about his perspective change being more about empathy, mindfulness, and doing things differently in life. He always reminds himself that life can end at any moment so that he can be grateful and happy for every second he has on earth. That certainly makes him a joy to be around, and we’ll all talk about the goofy and funny things he’s always doing around the house that just crack us up. We're very blessed to have him as the patriarch of our family and it was so awesome to be able to share this episode with you. Hope you enjoy it.
