When he isn’t painting those instantly recognisable picture postcard caricatures, Edward Blampied is either making short films or he is sharing his shed with fellow film-buff Tom Allan. Together they make The Video Shed, a youtube series in which the two new dads wax lyrical about old movies and horror films.

 

In this interview with them both, we talk about the short halloween horror films they have made together, the limitations of doing everything themselves, how Covid put the brakes on their most ambitious project to date and how the Video Shed was, for them, a reinvention of what they want to achieve with online video making.
