An excerpt from Henry’s Notes and Supernatural Encyclopedia
Creature: The Beast of Bray Road is named after the cryptid’s main territory. While it has been spotted in a few other locations, though historically its most famous and frequent appearances have been on its namesake. However, most recently it seems that Eden’s Grove has become its most favorite haunt. The Beast has been seen by several hunters, due to its massive size, obvious method of hunting, and it’s general lack of fear for humans. That must be nice. Anyway, despite all of this, the hunters have been unable to eliminate the Beast because of its unique properties. Somehow it is able to teleport, or warp space in some way, that allows it to appear wherever it wants, as long as there is a road there. I would love to be able to study how it does this, but frankly as long as we get it off the streets I’ll be happy.
Appearance: It appears as a large, carnivorous mammal, in the family of wolves or bears perhaps. It has a thick hide of grey fur, and several large canine teeth and tusk like fangs. Basically a beastal apex predator. It seems to be comfortable in domesticated and wild areas alike, according to my sources. Personally, the idea that it’s nice filled maw could appear outside my window at any time has kept me up at night more times than I can count.
Behaviors: It appears to act exactly like one would expect of an aggressive, territorial animal. It is either very confident, or very stupid. My sources have reported that it has little to no fear towards humans. This is especially obvious in the fact that it freely patrols the roads in and out of town, and has some way of seamlessly transitioning between physical spaces. It is unclear if it chooses to do this, or if it is in fact a passive ability the Beast does not control. Perhaps the animal’s aggression is linked to confusion? If its passive, there’s a chance that the Beast has no control over it.
Notes: I hate this thing.
