The Edmonton Oilers are officially on the ropes. Game 5 of the Stanley Cup Final was a tough one, as the Oilers were dominated from start to finish by the Florida Panthers, falling 5-2 and now trailing the series 3-2. Edmonton came out flat and never recovered — generating just three shots in the first period and going down 2-0 early. Florida suffocated them in every zone, and despite a brief push later in the game, the Oilers just couldn’t solve the Panthers' defensive structure.

Calvin Pickard got the start in goal after his heroics in Game 4, but his unbeaten run came to an end, allowing 4 goals on 18 shots. Now, the biggest question becomes: who starts Game 6 with the season on the line — Pickard or Skinner?
