John Mavros is the author of two acclaimed research studies and the upcoming book Enough iz Enough: How Parents and Teachers Can Regain Control. John was a graduate of Princeton, where he discovered an intense passion for working with teenagers during after-school and summer enrichment programs within the community. In 1969, with six other undergraduates, John co-founded a student-led youth enrichment program, The Community House. This is a major volunteer program which continues until today for Princeton students to volunteer their time and community service to help local students achieve! John also founded the Joint Connection, a non-profit agency that offers bus transit for visitations by families of New Jersey inmates and provides job search assistance to offenders in the cities of Newark and Camden for over twenty years.
