In this episode we dive into the power of feeling, and how it is truly necessary for humans to feel all emotions, without filtering them for just happiness. This can lead to a truly balanced life where we are not emotionally constipated, and instead, we live life freely, like a child. We also begin episode by taking you through how we make cacao together to initiate the sacred space and SLOW DOWN with intention and love.
In this educational episode we sit and chat at Sooke Potholes during our camping adventure to discuss the balancing of our human bodies. We introduce the necessity to feed all our bodies, the physical, mental, spiritual, emotional, and energetic/archetypal bodies equally to maintain a balanced life. We also discuss the content of a book, “The 15 commitments of a conscious leader” and how it is impacting Manuel, specially the commitment to feel his feelings fully.
In this episode, we share the story of how Hope first found cacao and was introduced to the wisdom of Maya cosmology. What began as curiosity slowly unfolded into a path of personal growth, self-discovery, and a deeper connection to the natural rhythms of life. Join us as Hope reflects on the people, experiences, and teachings that shaped her journey and continue to influence the way she (and we, by extension) walk through the world today.
In this episode, we recorded a conversation on the car ride home after our five-year-old’s very first day snowboarding. It was a day full of highs, lows, frustration, determination, and ultimately the proud moment of “I did it.” Together we reflect on the challenges he faced on the mountain, how he worked through them, and how we supported him as parents along the way. This episode is a real and honest look at what it means for children to struggle, persevere, and experience the powerful confidence that comes from overcoming something hard. Other thoughts during this conversation include barefoot running, earthing, rewilding, and essentially, what we want our family culture to include.
Fear is one of the most powerful emotions that paralyze human potential. If you feel fear, listen to it, take precaution, prepare to increase your confidence, but never ever let it stop you from anything. A weapon against fear is vulnerability. If you accept and admit your fear, than you are not ignorant to it anymore and you can tackle it and take action. This is why I think fear is the easiest feeling to master. Once you eliminate your ego which is trying to escape it, or attach yourself to it, and you use it to your advantage, than you realize what it is trying to tell you, and you can take action.
Welcome to this conversation were Manuel speaks his raw thoughts on ReWild Human – The way of the modern wild human. Through this conversation, you will see some of Manuel’s tools and daily habits that have aid him in the exchange and balancing of energy in everyday living. The train of thought in this podcast is truly contagious and provocative, with the natural outcome of wanting to take action on ones life to not only go on surviving, but to live life with vitality, passion, and reflection.
This is Hope and Manuel’s first recording of their reflections after the children go to sleep talks. It dives into many different topics like children’s anger, parenting, and the emotional body. Thank you for your patience as they learn how to navigate this new form of sharing. Please send them an email with any thoughts, comments, feelings, and reflections of your own.
