In 2014, as families were fleeing from their homes because of the threat of the Islamic State and relocating to camps, not much emphasis was put on the continuation of proper education for the children in these communities. Jessica Prentice has specialized in developing educational groundwork in KRI for the Yezidi communities that have still not been able to return to their homes eight years since leaving them.
